COVID 19 Information

First off, we want to give a huge thanks to all the townspeople, town staff & establishments that have worked hard to confront this latest wave of the coronavirus. We share in the collective sigh of relief that normalcy is on the horizon. Second, advisories/recommendations/directives regarding masking & other measures are slowly melting away with the mountain snow, with both the Centers from Disease Control & the Department of Public Health relaxing policies. Be aware, though, that the vulnerable among us may still need the protection of a mask – be sensitive & supportive. Finally, vaccination continues to be the safest way to weather coronavirus exposure & possible infection. However, there is now only one regular Berkshire Health Systems clinic & the Community Health Program’s mobile unit. The links are provided below. For more detailed information, check out the latest Covid Report or contact the Health Department Office (; 413-743-8300 x179).

  • Get vaccinated & boosted (BHS Patient Portal, 855-262-5465;, 413-528-0457). Both require appointments. You may also contact your local pharmacy.
  • Mask as needed: at least 3 layers, N95/KN95 as best protection against omicron.
  • Continue the standard measures when appropriate: social distancing, avoiding crowds, open air, hand & face hygiene, frequent cleaning & disinfection.
  • Monitor your health: get tested and/or see your doctor if you have flu- or cold-like symptoms.
