Nutshell Playhouse Library Event

Saturday, October 29, 2022, 11:00 a.m. at Adams Free Library

Adams MA – Adams Free Library is hosting Nutshell Playhouse on Saturday, October 29, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. for “SpyJinks!” a fantasy-filled adventure for the whole family in adventurous antics and the usual abundance of shenanigans.

Three intrepid spies and a parrot named Taco are on their first spy mission. They must rescue someone famous, who has been hidden on the Island of Very Bad Luck. Can they save her? Follow their adventures and ferocious battle, as they sink up to their belly buttons in quicksand, get unexpected help from a local singing llama, defy gravity, learn to speak backwards, and a lot more silliness. Performed by Berkshire County actors Stefanie Weber, Johnny Segalla, and Mark Hohlstein, with live music by Don Jordan.

Nutshell Playhouse creates theater for children and families that actively engages the audience in the magic of live performance. Their shows are designed to reach children of various ages and to appeal to parents as well, providing an exciting experience that the whole family can share. They bring theater directly to the communities of Western Massachusetts by staging performances at venues that are familiar and comfortable.

Nutshell Playhouse is a non-profit company dedicated to bringing innovative and exciting theater and music to family audiences. Their productions have been performed in theaters throughout the Berkshires, including Barrington Stage Company, The Berkshire Athenaeum, Main Street Stage, the Guthrie Center, Berkshire County Community Center, the Spectrum Playhouse and the Clark Art Institute.

This performance is partially funded by the Adams Community Bank, Berkshire Bank, Price Chopper's Golub Foundation, Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation, the Feigenbaum Foundation and the Massachusetts Cultural Council.

Families and children are invited this presentation by Nutshell Playhouse on Saturday, October 29 at 11:00 a.m. An adult must accompany children under 8 years of age.
