Adams MA – Adams Free Library and The Zoo in Forest Park & Education Center is excited to bring the Zoo on the Go for the Summer Reading Challenge 2021. In keeping with the theme “Tails and Tales,” children of all ages are invited to register for Zoo on the Go. This event takes place outdoors Friday, June 25, 2021, 2:00 p.m. at the Adams Council on Aging, 3 Hoosac Street in Adams. Registration is required, (413)743-8345.

Zoo on the Go will bring seven live animal ambassadors, which may include mammals, reptiles, birds, amphibians, and arthropods, as well as artifacts and other educational materials. This innovative program is designed to provide information about the animals, including their special adaptations, habitats, behavior, diets and status in the wild. The session provides an opportunity for students to observe the animals, as well as ask individual questions. Due to Covid-19, the Zoo program does not allow for hand-to-hand interaction with the animal ambassadors. Participants should remain seated for the duration of the presentation. All in attendance must wear a face mask even though the event is outdoors.

“Tails and Tales” is sponsored by the Adams Free Library, the Massachusetts Library System, the Boston Bruins, and the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners. Additional funding provided by the Friends of the Adams Free Library.

Families and children of all ages are invited to register and then join the Adams Free Library at the Adams Council on Aging/Visitor Center building, 3 Hoosac Street in Adams on Friday, June 25 at 2:00 p.m. for this Zoo on the Go presentation.
